Monserate Winery was actually the very first venue Victor and Viviana had their eye on for their wedding day. While their wedding didn’t end up happening here, we still got to soak up all the beauty of this space during their engagement session, and honestly, it was the perfect spot. From the vineyards to the golden light, Monserate Winery brought all the romantic charm and scenic views we could have hoped for!

If you’ve ever dreamed of a wedding or engagement session that feels straight out of Tuscany, Monserate Winery in Fallbrook is the place. The venue has rolling vineyards, wide open skies, and Mediterranean-inspired architecture. It brings all the charm of a European getaway, without ever leaving Southern California!
Couples love Monserate Winery not only for its gorgeous ceremony and reception spaces, but also for how versatile it is for photos. Whether you’re running through the vineyards with your lover, sharing a quiet moment by the rustic stone walls, or soaking in golden hour as the sun dips behind the hills, every corner of the property feels photo-ready.
And while Monserate Winery is most often booked for weddings, it’s just as perfect for an engagement session. The winery offers a mix of intimate, tucked-away spots and wide open views that give your photos variety and depth. Located in Fallbrook, it’s also easily accessible for couples in both San Diego and Temecula, making it a convenient choice whether its for your engagement photos or wedding!

Victor and Viviana chose sleek, all-black outfits that were perfect for a romantic winery engagement session. Their look paired beautifully with Monserate Winery’s warm stone architecture and lush vineyards, giving the entire gallery a polished, timeless feel.
We started their session around the main building, taking advantage of the Tuscan-inspired balconies and archways. From there, we wandered through the scenic trails surrounded by gardens and greenery, and stopped by the pond for some romantic and even playful shots. The vineyard rows also made a gorgeous backdrop, bringing in that classic winery atmosphere that Monserate is so well known for.
The combination of their style, the vineyard views, and the golden California light made this session feel effortless and romantic from start to finish!

Along with digital, we mixed in a few film photos during this Monserate Winery engagement session. Film always brings a unique texture and nostalgic feel, which worked beautifully against the winery’s vineyard rows and garden views.

Monserate Winery is one of my favorite places for both engagement photos and weddings. The property has everything I love in a venue. Think Tuscan-style architecture, vineyard rows that glow at golden hour, peaceful ponds, and gardens that change beautifully with the seasons. It’s romantic and timeless. Perfect for an intimate engagement session or a full wedding with family and friends!
When I photograph here, my goal is to create images that feel true to you. My style blends a documentary approach with an editorial touch. That means you’ll get photos that are natural and authentic, but also polished and creative. I want your gallery to reflect more than how your day looked! I want it to capture how it felt.
